sMall Life by
Stephen Felder(Drama) - Billy Peters' parents were not typical. They always taught him to follow his heart, eat ice-cream for breakfast, and "tell the fuzz nothing," but this carefree philosophy doesn't seem to be helping him cope with his mother's death, survive his senior year in high school, and land the girl of his dreams. Not long after Billy's mother dies his sister moves out of the house, his brother starts partying as if nothing had happened, and his father is already dating again, but Billy can't seem to get over the pain he's feeling and he doesn't want to get on with his life. After assaulting a police officer, failing all his classes, and losing his girl to his best friend, Billy gives up hope until a car accident and chance encounter with a disillusioned Episcopal priest helps him realize that his art can help him "picture" his pain. "sMall Life" is a sometimes-comical coming-of-age story for anyone who has struggled to "get on with life" after suffering a devastating loss. 116 pages (doc - formatting:
