SimplyScripts.com News Letter - December 21, 2003 |
Greetings Scriptarians!
Well, it has been some time since the last news letter. Apologies all around. I have a few 'exclusives' and 'sort of exclusives for you. Let me begin by letting you know that Henrik has blasted out the latest edition of VoiceOver. Currently it is only available to VoiceOver Subscribers and now it is available to SimplyScript Newsletter subscribers. The general visitors can wait until January to read the latest edition, however you can Read It Now!.
This edition of VoiceOver has:
Interview with Rob Jelley
A Beginners Guide to Starting Virtual Series
A Writers Point of View
Reviews:
- The Creator pilot
- Aftermath, Star Trek: Renaissance pilot
Another exclusive for you comes from The Daily Script and Green Wasabi and nexusdragon. The Daily Script webmaster dropped me a line regarding three new scripts on the 'net. While I am sure we have all read the early draft of The Last Samurai, thanks to Green Wasabi we can read a production draft of The Last Samurai. It is a February 28, 2003 Full Yellow Draft of the script. Much different from what is already on the net, yet even different from the final movie. Do check it out.
Thanks to Daily Script and a cat named nexusdragon, you can read a 3rd draft of Raiders of the Lost Ark and a first draft of Poltergeist. Please note they are all in pdf format.
More anon,
Don

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. What can I tell you? Anything I tell you will take away from the fun of the movie. Johnny Depp plays the infamous pirate Captain Jack Sparrow. Jack Sparrow is looking to take back his ship, The Black Pearl. The 'Maiden in Distress' is played by the lovely Keira Knightley. Her rescuer is played by Orlando Bloom. The special effects are undetectable and the swordplay is fantastic! The only fault I see is that they call a sloop a 'ship'. Imagine that. I mean, everyone knows that a 'ship' has three masts and the sails are square rigged. Anything less is not a ship.
