No. Verizon and AOL have partnered so your verizon.net email address will not change.
Your verizon.net email address will not change. We will let you know when it's time to move your email account. You'll see a message from us when you sign into verizon.com/bizwebmail. Just click on the link to AOL in the message and complete the basic AOL registration page. You will have access to your verizon.net email, folders, and contacts at mail.aol.com. Please note that your verizon.net email will be subject to AOL's terms of service and privacy policy once you've completed the AOL registration.
Your verizon.net email must be moved to AOL before March 31, 2016. If you do not complete the basic AOL registration to move your verizon.net email to AOL by this date, your email will be deleted and you will not be able to use it in the future.
We will let you know when it's time to move your email account. When you check your email at verizon.com/bizwebmail, you'll see a message from us with simple instructions. Once you register with AOL, you will have access to your verizon.net email, folders, and contacts on mail.aol.com.
Of course you may choose to back up your data, but it's not required--we will move all of your messages, folders, webmail contacts, rules and preferences to AOL so you will have all of your content when you register and accept the AOL Terms of Service. If you use an email application, like Outlook, your email may be automatically backed up with a copy stored to your PC.
We do recommend that you change your password when you register with AOL. You will then need to update your password in your email application settings.

No. You will not need to change your incoming and outgoing mail server settings if you use a 3rd party email client to access your @verizon.net email.
With the move to AOL, each email sub-account will be treated as a primary email account and will enjoy all the benefits of Free AOL Mail including virus protection, advanced spam filters and more. Please note that sub-account functionality other than email will continue to exist within My Verizon.
We will move aliases associated with your verizon.net email to AOL. You will be able to send and receive email to both your primary verizon.net email and any of its aliases. If you do use aliases, you will need to pick one email address to use to log into your email with AOL. But, all email addresses will continue to work.
