Martin Sanders – Script Agent – Scam - post author Don

Here is the lastest twist on the Nigerian email scam.

Several writers have received an email from one “Martin Sanders” who claims to be representing Shoot Rajasthan Film (a legitimate film production company, by the way).

Phil (dogglebe) received one such email and posted it to the discussion forums.

The email contains a fake message from Shoot Rajasthan Film to Mr. Sanders purportedly asking Mr. Sanders to secure the rights to a particular script. Mr. Sanders then sends out an email informing you, the writer, that he and only he can represent your script for the mere sum of $300.

This is a scam.

Phil confirmed this with Mr. Dilip Kungwani of Shoot Rajasthan Film who responded, “thanks for your mail..this man is totally fake.”

You can read the full scam email and follow along the subsequent email exchange between Phil and “Mr. Sanders”. Phil decided to have some fun with Mr. Sanders. – Don

Discussion Board is back up! - post author Don

Hi Gang!

Well, after a lot of time, the discussion board is back up. Please note the new url:

http://www.simplyscripts.com/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl.

If you were wondering what the heck happened. I still do not know. For some reason on the script just stopped running on the dot net server. After hours on with tech support and a lot of research into pathing and what not, I’m still no closer to finding out what happened.

Apologies for the delay. It took forever to download the old board and upload it to the new location and then figure out all the message and image pathing changes.

if you find any broken images on the discussion board, let me know. Also, if you have any internal links on the discussion board to your script threads, you will have to change them from simplyscripts.net to simplyscripts.com. – Don

Yes, I haven’t updated in a while… - post author Don

…Day job’s a hassle and the kids have the flu.

I’m a week and a half behind in updates. Hope to spend the weekend getting my chakra aligned and my karma balanced so I can get a week and a half worth of updates out into the internets.

In the mean time, you have to watch “The Guild”.

Written in haste. – Don

P.S., Yes, I know it isn’t a script.
