Watchmen scripts - post author Don

Thanks to “David” for the heads up on these three fantastic finds on the ‘net. Watchmen Comic Movie.com has scored three two different drafts of the upcoming Watchmen movie. Granted, the 1989 Sam Hamm version has been floating around the ‘net for ages.

Watchmen (Alex Tse) – 2006 draft script by Alex Tse – hosted by: Watchmen Comic Movie.com – in pdf format

Watchmen (David Hayter) – 2003 unproduced draft script by David Hayter – hosted by: Watchmen Comic Movie.com – in pdf format

Watchmen (Sam Hamm) – 1989 unproduced draft script by Sam Hamm – hosted by: Watchmen Comic Movie.com – in pdf format

In a gritty and alternate 1985 the glory days of costumed vigilantes have been brought to a close by a government crackdown, but after one of the masked veterans is brutally murdered an investigation into the killer is initiated. The reunited heroes set out to prevent their own destruction, but in doing so discover a deeper and far more diabolical plot. Based on WATCHMEN, the best-selling, highly-influential, critically-acclaimed 1987 graphic novel written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons.

Would Simply Scripts hosts copies of the last Watchmen script? Is very hard to download from Megaupload. Is never available. Thanks!

I read the Hamm draft years ago, but this is the first look I got at Hayter and Tse’s. They were basically the same, even the parts changed from the comics, but both included an original ending. I prefer Tse’s, but they’re both good reads. Big fan of Watchmen, very much looking forward to seeing what Zach Snyder does with it.
