Zack “Splatter Boy” Akers’ short script Burying The Truth (4 pages, pdf format) was selected by the entire Image and Sound class of Grand Valley State University (without Zack’s permission) as their final project.*
You can bury many things, but is the truth one of them?
There are seven (at last count) versions.
or you could watch this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one .
You can talk about the script on the Discussion Board or comment on the films here. – Don
*However, in a total douche move, nobody from Grand Valley State University’s Image and Sound class asked Zack for permission to use his script.
Film students. If you find a cool script on the site, don’t make a douche move. Ask the writer for permission to use the work. 99.99% of the time, they will be delighted for you to use their work. Heck, I will even help you contact the writer. But, please, don’t just take a work from the site without asking the writer. You might end up being labeled a douche. Remember, the moment you post your video based on a stolen piece of work to YouTube, it is no longer considered “For Educational Purposes Only”. YouTube is a commercial site that derives revenue from advertising.

“…or you could watch this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one…”
Ha ha, that’s ridiculous. I want to give these a watch when I have the chance. Thanks, Don!

wow, that’s not cool they did that. All it takes is a simple email, and they worst they could say is no. Now they worst that could happen could be a lot worse than “no”.
I figured everyone that frequents this site knows that when Don says “screenplays can not be used or reproduced without express written consent it means using for a video and/or re-writing the script without permission is prohibited, but obviously it went over the heads of the ISC class at GVSt.

I recently found a screenplay that I would like to produce on your site. I emailed the author about a week ago to ask permission, but haven’t received a reply. The script is Consensus by Tyler Jay. If you could help me contact him I would really appreciate it. thanks

Try emailing the author again with the title of his script in the subject line. Also, you can post something in the discussion thread of the script at: http://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?m-1278546781/
