So, what is up with the OWC? - post author Don

hear your script Writers revealed. Head over to the One Week Challenge page and see who wrote what. You can also check out and comment on who wrote what scripts on the Discussion Board.

Next week, I’ll shoot over to iScript.com three scripts of which they will choose one to be audio performed.

Additionally, one participant in the OWC will be selected to have a feature length script they have written covered by the excellent Sandy Gunter of Whiskey Loose Tongue. Sandy has read for several major studios like Imagine, Buena Vista, New Line and Fox. In addition, he is a past reader for the Nicholl Fellowship and IFP.

Lastly, I’ve run the Musicals database through the link checker and updated the links, so past broken links should work. – Don

Untraceable script - post author Don

Thanks to JBM and Daily Script you can read:

Untraceable – June 5, 2006 unspecified draft script by Robert Fyvolent & Mark R. Brinker, current revisions by Allison Burnett – hosted by: Daily Script – in pdf format

A secret service agent, Jennifer Marsh, gets caught in a very personal and deadly cat-and-mouse game with a serial killer who knows that people (being what they are – both curious and drawn to the dark side of things) will log onto an “untraceable” website where he conducts violent and painful murders LIVE on the net. The more people who log on and enter the website, the quicker and more violently the victim dies.

Scripts of Chip Proser - post author Don

Gaia SelenThanks to Leon and daily script you can read this unproduced sequel to Big Trouble in Little China entitled Big Touble in Little China II written by Chip Proser. It was to be a made-for-tv movie, but it never got off the ground. You can find it on the movie scripts page.

After a bit of searching around looking for more info on BTiLC II, I ran across some great scripts by Charles “Chip” Proser. You can find a listing of produced and spec scripts on Charles Proser’s scripts page. Included are a rewrite of Top Gun, Innerspace and Botman. You can also find a great website on Chip’s documentary Gaia Selene: Saving the Earth by Colonizing the Moon that came out in 2005. Our future and the earth itself are in danger from pollution, global warming, climate change and a looming energy crisis…. You can watch the entire documentary at GaiaSelen.com and get more info on the film at the imdb.com listing. – Don

Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Hitman scripts - post author Don

The Movie Page

It would appear that my arch nemesis B.E. over at The Movie Page, with a little help from JBM and Anonymous, has, after a long, long absence in the script world managed to claw his way to the surface of the earth (with a grammar book in one hand, no less) to score a couple of really groovy reads – The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Hitman.

If you skip over to the Movie Scripts page, you can read a couple of cool scripts. – Don

Field of Dreams script - post author Don

Thanks to Dave for pointing out that shortly after In The Bedroom appeared on Awesome Film that Field of Dreams appeared.

Field of Dreams – March 9, 1998 final draft script by Phil Alden Robinson (based on the novel by W. P. Kinsella) – hosted by: Awesome Film – in pdf format

Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella hears a voice in his corn field tell him, “If you build it, he will come.” He interprets this message as an instruction to build a baseball field on his farm, upon which appear the ghosts of Shoeless Joe Jackson and the other seven Chicago White Sox players banned from the game for throwing the 1919 World Series. When the voices continue, Ray seeks out a reclusive author to help him understand the meaning of the messages and the purpose for his field.

This would be found on the Movie Scripts page. – Don

In The Bedroom script - post author Don

Thanks to Awesome Film and “Kasamir” read the script to the five time Oscar nominated movie In The Bedroom. It was nominated for Best Adapted Writing (Todd Field and Robert Festinger) and a few other ‘lesser’ nominations for best actor, actress, supporting actress and best movie. I completely missed this one back in 2001. A New England couple’s college-aged son dates an older woman with two small children and an unwelcome ex-husband. Then something terrible occurs in this wrenching, emotional drama.

Check it out on the Movie Scripts page. – Don
