The Woodsman - post author Don

He’s not Just a guy in Hollywood, he is everyone’s new friend. Next up, JAGIH brings us the first place winner from the 2001 Slamdance Screenplay Competition – The Woodsman. The Woodsman is a bit of a buzz-kill inasmuch as it is about a child molester returning to society. The script was made into a film that release in 2004 starring Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick. Check it out on the Movie Scripts page.

I read the script yesterday and thought it was so well done that I immediately ran out and rented the film, which I hadn’t seen. It was every bit as involving and moving as the script itself. If you’re a fan of intimate, character-driven drama pieces, give this script a read, folks.
